Background:
Jamie, the owner of a renowned golf club in England, sought a reliable solution to improve safety on the driving range. Golf balls frequently went beyond the practice boundary, posing potential risks to nearby property and disrupting operations. To address this, Jamie planned to install a higher protective net behind the driving range, covering approximately 75 meters in width and 5 meters in height.

Challenge

The golf club needed a durable, lightweight, and weather-resistant barrier net that could effectively contain high-velocity golf balls without sagging or degrading under outdoor conditions. The solution also required to be customized sizing and seamless integration with existing support poles and field aesthetics.

Our Solution

After evaluating site conditions, we recommended a 2.5cm mesh, 2mm twine knotted PE net specifically designed for golf ball containment. The small mesh size prevents even high-speed golf balls from escaping, while the UV-stabilized polyethylene fiber provides long-term resistance to sunlight, rain, and temperature changes.

We custom-manufactured the net according to the client’s exact dimensions (75m × 5m), reinforced the perimeter with double-braided border ropes, and supplied galvanized connection fittings for secure installation. The result was a neat, tensioned barrier that blended with the club’s environment while delivering reliable protection.
